
Assistive Devices Program
The Assistive Devices Program by March Of Dimes provides financial assistance to persons with physical disabilities. This grant is for all disabled under an income slab so they can obtain assistive devices that improve their functional independence and mobility. UTS Group not only safeguards your security but also supports social inclusion. Therefore, we would like to share useful information with people in need.
Eligibility
The applicant must have an ongoing physical impairment that necessitates the use of assistive technology to be eligible for the program.
The candidate must also:
- In financial needs (refer to the income chart)
- At least 19 years old
- A permanent resident of Ontario

Funded Devices
Some devices that may qualify for funding include:
Manual and Power Wheelchairs
Scooters
Replacement Batteries
Walkers Knee Ankle Foot Orthosis (KAFO)
Ankle Foot Orthosis (AFO)
Home and Bath Aids
Floor Patient Lifts Basic Aids for Daily Living
Repairs to Existing​ Devices
Chart of Income Eligibility
Program Applicants must be in financial need to be eligible for assistance. The applicant’s and his or her spouse’s or life partner’s combined household income after taxes is considered. The maximum permitted income may vary according to family size. This graph displays eligibility depending on the following family sizes:

1 person             $ 22,920
2 people             $ 32,431
3 people            $ 39,698
4 people             $ 45,839
* Calculated using after-tax household income at or below the Statistics Canada Low-Income Measure + 15%
